The Peraso Standard Gearbox (802.3ba)

The Gearbox function translates the formatting of 100G data streams by multiplexing and demultiplexing 10x10G (100G) to 4x25G (100G) for 100Gb Ethernet and OTN applications. The gearbox function is defined in IEEE 802.3ba.

The Peraso Multi-Link Gearbox (MLG)

The MLG function supports aggregating 10 independent 10Gb Ethernet links into a single 100G (4x25G) link in both the receive and transmit direction. The device supports all lane marking and idle insertion functions defined by OIF MLG 1.0 standard.

The Peraso Retimers

The Family supports devices up to 20 lanes, where each lane is a Rx/Tx pair. Each lane is protocol independent and also has independent PLL per lane.

The Peraso Serial Mux / Redundant Link

The MSH420 has a “bit-level” 2:1 serial Mux/Demux function which is agnostic to the data payload of the two lower-speed links. They must be operating at the same baud rate (i.e. “0 ppm” frequency offset). The MSH420 also includes optional Retimer and Redundant Link modes (contact factory). The electrical interfaces support IEEE and OIF specifications in the 10-14G and 20-28G ranges.
