Test Software Developer, Product Validation

Peraso Technologies, Inc. is actively seeking an applications engineer within our Product Validation team to support the development of mm-wave radio transceivers and systems. The successful candidate must have recent experience in software development or automated test software development. This is a hybrid position with two days working in the office (Downtown or Markham location) and three days working from home.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze product requirements; work closely with SW developers to ensure full test coverage of new and existing features of Peraso IEEE802.11ad communication solution.
- Create and review test plans.
- Design and implement automated tests.
- Maintain existing tests.
- Run tests, triage test results, complete reports.
- Design and implement tools required for Product Validation.
- Perform Ad Hoc testing when needed and report problems to the SW teams.
- Cooperate with the SW team helping them to reproduce and debug issues.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
- Must have: Proven 3+ years of industry programming experience with either Java/Python/C/C++.
- Must have: Understand various networking protocols (UDP, TCP, 802.11), using sockets.
- Must have: 3+ years of proven experience with Linux, embedded systems.
- Must have: understanding of Linux and Windows internals, ability to understand system logs.
- Additional asset: Understanding radio communication principles.
- Additional asset: Knowledge of scripting languages.
- Additional asset: Experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
- Must have: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple projects simultaneously.
